The art piece Four Stages of You and Me consists of four 10 by 10 centimeter sheets of paper, each representing a phase of life, our experiences with others, ourselves, and our connection to a higher power. The first sheet, titled “Stage 1: Particles,” features lines and dots within a square frame, symbolizing the basic building blocks of existence. “Stage 2: Sediment” arranges the lines and dots horizontally and parallel, reflecting the accumulation and order that forms over time. “Stage 3: Cohesion” presents a small, cohesive square, merging all the elements from the first two stages into a unified whole. The final sheet, “Stage 4: Departure to the Creator,” represents the end of life, depicted by a dot and arrows pointing in various directions, symbolizing the departure from the material world and return to the Creator. Together, these stages illustrate the spiritual, intellectual, and personal journey of growth, connection, and progression through life.
