OJU, the final piece in the series, is the most simplified painting, focusing on dynamic, amorphous lines that flow across a white surface layered with texture. The texture is built up from magazine pages featuring subjects like motorcycles and mountain biking, adding depth and movement to the composition. Initially minimalistic in terms of color, the piece becomes dynamic through its layered texture. The lines subtly form the letters O, J, and U, which gives the painting its title. The pictorial color elements enhance the composition, making it visually engaging and full of energy.
This painting is the first in a series featuring a deeply white background, combined with specific color palettes like lemon, light yellow, pastel, petroleum blue, and green. It marks the beginning of my use of collage techniques, incorporating pages from various magazines. The piece is inspired by industrial, architectural, and mechanical themes, particularly drawn from the car industry and construction, blending these elements into a unique, visually dynamic composition.
