This painting portrays an imaginary landscape, or paysage, created instinctively from my mind rather than from direct observation. It depicts a swamp-like land, refreshed by the movement of clean water, with a sunset unfolding after a heavy rain. As in my usual compositions, certain elements maintain consistency, while others remain disconnected, creating a dynamic tension within the piece. Simplified architectural structures appear on the horizon, blending with pictorial elements, patterns, and morphing lines, adding depth and intrigue to the scene.
