On June 24, 2022, I had the honor of hosting my first solo art exhibition, titled “Section 03 – 27”. This exhibition was a personal milestone, featuring over 40 pieces of artwork that span my creative journey from the age of 3 to 27. The collection included paintings, drawings, and a mix of different techniques and styles, showcasing the evolution of my intense way of thinking, feeling, and expressing myself through art. Each piece, whether a small 3×5 cm drawing or a large 4.5-meter canvas, was a reflection of my unique way of communicating ideas through line, form, and color, art, digital art and architecture.
The exhibition took place in an unconventional space at the top of the Capitol Tower in Sarajevo, on two unfinished floors. The raw, architecturally exposed environment, with its stunning view, created a perfect backdrop for my artwork. Without financial or organizational support, and with the help of my friends who believed in my work, I was able to transport and organize the pieces myself in this unique space.
This exhibition was not only a personal achievement but also an important moment for the art scene in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and beyond. “Section 03 – 27” offered a unique perspective, as it showcased a continuous body of work spanning 24 years, from my earliest drawings at the age of three up until the time of the exhibition. This rare approach, exhibiting work from such an extensive period, provided an in-depth look into my artistic development and evolution over nearly a quarter-century. It was a significant event in the local art community, as it gave a fresh and personal view of an artist’s growth over time.
The exhibition’s importance also lies in its unconventional nature. By presenting my lifelong journey through art in such a specific and continuous way, it broke away from traditional exhibition formats, making it a truly unique experience for both myself and the viewers. It was a remarkable opportunity to share this evolution with the audience, and it brought a new level of depth to the art scene in Sarajevo and the surrounding region.
