It was an honor to receive a special prize at the 2025 Collegium Artisticum Exhibition for my master’s thesis + Monasterion. Orthodox monastery complex. The materialization of spirituality through the primordial architectural form.
After four years of dedication and hard work, this accomplishment marks a pivotal moment in their career, showcasing the value of their work beyond the academic realm. The award is especially meaningful, given that it honors a student project, which is a rare recognition for a master’s thesis.
The Collegium Artisticum Exhibition, the largest architectural event in Bosnia-Herzegovina, hosted an international jury comprised of architects from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, and Slovenia. This added an extra layer of prestige to the award, as it reflects the acknowledgment of experts from diverse backgrounds, making the recognition even more valuable.
The journey of creating Monasterion was not merely an academic task; it was an intensely personal and intellectual process. The recipient’s focus was clear throughout: to produce a project that would remain relevant and vital over the years. This award serves as proof that high-quality, thoughtful work does not go unnoticed, even if its recognition takes time. It is a powerful reminder to young architects and students alike that dedication to quality and a meaningful process will eventually lead to appreciation, no matter the timeline. The value of such work is not always immediately visible, but it holds lasting significance and impact.
